Greta’s dynamic pathway
Greta Small is Australia’s pre-imminent Alpine Ski Racer, the best in her profession and disciplines, who relentlessly strives for excellence and Gold at PyeongChang 2018.
Greta has been in training for this event all of her life, and has represented Australia in the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games amongst other world calibre events.
Greta is a highly tuned athlete that trains twice daily with her head coach based out of the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, building powerful legs and core strength to once again dominate the international ski circuit in the lead up to the Winter Olympics at PyeongChang in 2018.
Greta has placed in the top 20 Alpine World Championships in 2015 , in Vail USA, and also took out the prestigious Alpine Junior World Championship title for 2015. Greta is aiming for a podium finish in the Alpine World Championships 2017 to be held at St. Moritz in Switzerland, as the lead in to the Winter Olympics.
Pedigree for success
Greta has a pedigree of success with placing 15th in the Super Combined at the 2014 Olympic Games Sochi in Russia. Prior to Sochi, Greta placed 25th in the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2013, and was flag bearer at the Youth Olympic Games at Innsbruck with a 7th placing in the SG and SL.
In 2011, 2012 and 2013, Greta was placed number 1 and tookout the prestigious Overall Womens Winner Australian New Zealand Continental Cup. During these years, Greta was also a triple Australian Senior and Junior Champion.
